About Course

A slow computer is frustrating, but changing several settings at once can make the cause harder to understand. This course teaches a calm, evidence-first approach to everyday performance problems. You will observe a repeatable task, compare resource activity, review optional startup applications and decide whether maintenance or professional support is the sensible next step. The examples use familiar Windows tools while keeping the reasoning useful on other systems.

Safety comes before speed. You will not delete system folders, run registry cleaners, disable security tools or attempt hardware repairs. Changes are limited to recognised, reversible actions on a device you are authorised to manage. Managed workplace computers should go through the organisations support process. Backups, saved work and a reliable maintenance window are part of the method rather than optional extras.

Each written lesson includes a concrete observation or planning exercise and an explained self-check. Your final output is a short support brief with symptoms, evidence and changes already tested. That brief helps distinguish a local application issue from storage, memory or network pressure before you spend money.

Estimated reading and practice time: 20 minutes. This is a written course with no video requirement.
